My Lord man, have you ever used crutches? I was on them for a year and nine months. I only fell down twice, but it hurt like he!! both times. Please do yourself a favor and get the real thing. Like others have said, almost every second hand store has them. I feel your pain, every step I take is pure agony but I refuse to lay down and wither to nothing, but trust me I do not do anything that I can avoid to make matters worse.
