How about ham and beans? That's one my favorite meals. Easy to fix! Great Northern (white) beans - I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The longer you cook them, and the more times you warm them up for leftovers, the better they get! Some folks like them more like a soup. I like them both ways! Side dish of spinach greens, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese. 'Course, you havta be able to make that sweet cornbread, too. My wife's mother always used cured pork shoulder in her "ham" & beans. It was the best, but a little more fatty. The fat makes the flavor! What time are you planning to have this ready?
