At a gas station I frequent, gal in front of me was carded for buying ciggs. She was obviously over 35.
No one was mad, but... Fella explained, there is a law in MN, you have to card anyone that looks under 40to buy ciggs, and the state sends out 37 year old folk to buy ciggs, see if they get carded. If they don't, it's a fine to the clerk and a fine to the company.
Now, isn't that something. Sell ciggs to a person in their 30's, and get a fine for it. Nothing wrong with it, but there are these extra rules.....
I never smoked in my life and think it's a dumb habit, but sheez, what's with a law like that? Makes no sense.
