I just bought a 8" auger for loading my feed bin. It has rubber flighting all the way up, its a 51 footer. This auger is older, but it has a sticker labeling it as a "soybean special" Now I'm not gonna be running this auger alot and I'm sure it will work just fine for me, but I've never seen this before. I'm just wondering the pros and cons of rubber flighting. The biggest negatives I can think of are wear to the flighting and possibly taking more power to run it due to drag. (PTO drive) Just curious on your thoughts
