I have an 07 Tundra that I bought new. It has had horrible cold weather knock since day one. The guys in the shop said that's normal and that engine will go half a million miles easy. I run synthetic 0W20 weight in it.
It doesn't help that today's vehicles are so quiet you hear every noise going on out there.
