Being from SE AZ I had never walked on a frozen lake until I spent a winter working in Milwaukee on the North Shore tunnel project. We went for a ride on a nice day and came to a lake with vehicles parked all over it with people fishing through the ice. My wife and I went for a walk on the ice and it kinda freaked me out!! The ice was creaking and groaning ,making all kinds of weird noises. I had to get off the ice of pretty quickly. I didn't like that at all.
