Dad used to start his tomato seedlings in a hot bed. I never paid attention to when he did. I was probably at school when he did it. About four years ago I decided to start some tomato seeds in, I think early April, I didn't realize how long it took them to grow to transplanting size! They were ready to set out for late tomatoes!
