I never have any idea if my observations will help, but here are some thoughts. AC used simple gear pumps on lots of tractors- 170-180-190,etc. come to mind. I don't know why, but they were all different shapes and sizes. Some had a valve built into one section, some didn't. It's been so long since I was into one I don't remember, but you can tell a lot just by looking at the seams/sections from the outside. From what you describe, and what JDSeller adds, it sounds like you might have pumps very much like what AC used on, for example, the 200 tractor.
