Explain to how me how subsidized crops threaten your well being? I am not defending subsidies but the price supports of old are not even affecting prices anymore. It is the board of trade. For example the target price on corn used to be $3.03 in the early 80's dropping to $2.73 and then being phased out with direct payments. Corn loan rates are around $1.82 which used to be a price floor when we had $2.00 corn but again it doesn't affect the price anymore. If the gov. is to get out of argriculture do you also want them to halt federal meat and food inspections and soil conversation efforts?
