Change the oil before putting it in the shed, run fogging oil thru it before shutting it down. Then I block it up so the tires are off the floor. I adjust the temperature in the shed so that it stays between 40 and 60F over the winter. I also remove the distributor cap and make sure the points are open. I check the coolant to ensure it can withstand at least -40F, even though my climate controlled shed ensures it never drops below 40.
Aw, who am I kidding. If I remember in the fall, I move it to a spot where the water doesn't get more than a couple inches deep, tip up the seat and leave it until the ground firms up in the spring...
