Yeah, it don't sound like the safety switch, the wires are just plugged in the 'brake lite switch' looking thing, and you can hot wire them with a clothespin, but if it even tries to turn, even clicks- it ain't this switch. Ask this on the Massey forum above too, for more ideas. good luck
