I get called on at least once a year. No food for the horses, no shelter, and this year a dead horse. Animal shows up and I show them the hay feeder that has hay in it. The run in shelter. And for the dead horse we went out and gave it a kick and it startled and jumped up. It was sunning itself in the sun on the first warm day last spring.
I suppose Animal Control (an over zealous one) could rake me over the coals if they took a mind too. But they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
