Had a big NAPA battery in a tractor that didn't get run for about 4 years (ran a branch through the radiator, didn't get around to fixing it for awhile). When I had it just about put back together, figured I'd better charge the battery. Put charger on, it was blinking almost immediately- which I thought meant battery wasn't taking a charge. Nope, it was because the battery was still fully charged- after sitting for 4 years!
