i finally got time to pull the top off that pump today...theres actually 2 coils under there...i moved everything back and forth...plunger in the biggest coil seemed to be sticking in its bore...i got it moving ok,but still wont shut down...theres a paddle looking plate with a tang that looks like it moves a very small linkage in the bottom of bowl...linkage moves freely but the paddle feels loose in its mounting...you mentioned a spring last time...is there supposed to be a spring holding it in place? i have looked for a diagram of pump but cant find anything...went to local IH truck dealer and they sent me back to Ford...you have a diagram handy? BTW,i was fresh out of 10/32 sockets so i just used a 8mm ;)
