The rows on a 455 planter are adjustable. All you do is loosen the U-bolt and slide the row unit.

Your only problem will be interference with the transport wheels. At 32" the wheels are VERY close to the outside units on a 4-row planter. We had to run special square seed boxes on the outside units, as round ones would not clear the wheels. Also, rocks getting kicked up and smashing the boxes was an issue.

I second the suggestion to either hire a neighbor or a custom harvester to do the combining. Combine is the Swahili word for "money pit," especially when you're talking about a machine with ~2000 hours on it.
