I met a fellow who survived the Battan Death March when I was 16 years old.He had a scar on his throat fromm ear to ear.He fell and couldnt get up so they cut his throat.He survived but his mind was gone.I remember his name and that we took him to a music store to get some new strings for his mandolin.That was in the 50s but meeting him and what he told us is still in my memory like it was yesterday.
