Pete, I am sorry for what you are going through and will pray for you and your family. I grew up in a family of 6 kids and my youngest brother was like that. It is not always poor parenting. I think you pretty well described the problem and it is the outside influence. The others are telling him what he wants to hear as opposed to what you are saying. And the drugs are poor choice of friends. There is no easy solution. My dad said the hardest thing he ever did in life was when he kicked my brother out. It still didn't help. It wasn't until he was married and had a child that HE decided he needed to turn things around. Only thing I can suggest is an attempt to reach his heart. Tell him you love him but things cannot continue this way. If there is one thing that you both enjoy doing together try to spend more time doing that. Parenting is the hardest and sometimes least rewarding job in life.
