I have two bale wagon bodies I made from guardrail posts and an old school bus frame. Cut the chassis and turned the ends up, then welded guardrail I-beam posts across the chassis. Then I welded another series of I-beam posts along the sides. The chassis was free, and the posts were from a construction company that removed them from a jobsite along a highway. The second wagon had a pair of pole braces under the guard rail posts instead of the bus chassis. Total cost was about $50 in welding rod. One is on a Gehl running gear, the other on a JD gear. Both will carry 11-4 1/2 x 4 bales and are able to be hitched in tandem, 22 bales a load.
