I had bad wires on a couple of vehicles before and when it was damp and rainy and they would not start,I would spray a LIGHT whiff of ether on the wires. Then try to to start it. The shorted ,damp wire(s)would spark and light the ether.There would be a small fire which quickly burnt itself out,drying the damp wires in the process.Then I could drive away. Worked every time,til I"d finally replace the wires. MARK
