stealing seems to come in waves around here. a few druggies will come from another county and break in houses, steal tools, guns, atvs, small equipment, etc... for a little while and disappear. We are lucky to live in a place that has one way in and one way out and is far off the road so it is not an easy target for thieves. Our family lives in different houses on the same farm and we have varying schedules so it is hard to tell if one of is home or not, so we have been luckier than some of our neighbors. Thieves are the scum of the earth, but I'm glad to say that the local law enforcement has been good at catching them lately and it is not happening as much. It will probably pick up some though as Christmas nears.
