The smaller Mahindras at least are made in Japan by Mitsubishi. I have a new Max25 and a "49 8n. Other than the ground clearance being greater on the N,the Mahindra is much better all the way around. weighs 1694 which is heavy for a compact. Admittedly my N is old and worn,but with 4wa and diffrential lock the Mahindra gets much more power to the ground.
