The seed rate for the mix is good at 65-80 pounds per acre for a complete seed .If your just patching or overseeding you can cut that back.The K31 doesn't look bad at 250-300 pounds per acre and a lot of fertilizer..I know that sounds like a lot but you need to sow it thick so it doesn't clump.Bluegrass sod fields always went at 135-150 pounds per acre and 7 way Fescue at 160-185 per.Fields always got double sowed for good coverage.K31 rates are higher because of germination rates.One good thing about k31 is it will grow anywhere.The best turf seeds come from the Northwest and Canada.K31 seed is raised in several states all over the country.Rod made the statement about the back box.Brillion made a landscape special years ago with only a big box with the brush.That could be what your looking at.
