Just a quick thought, If it hasn't been run in over a year, and you weren't really clear on how long it ran then, what does it have for gas in it? I'm guessing you checked it, but if gas is a year or two old, it may not be very flammable any more. Maybe you should drain it and use it to start a bonfire, then fill the 661 up with some fresh gas.
