I am trying to get this 56 Casee 311 running. It has sat for many years. At some point someone put a 12 Volt battery in it. Not sure what that might have done to it. I boght a new 6 volt battery but it barely turns it over. I can"t hook a charger on it with the cables hooked up either. It causes a big spark, like a big short somewhere. I can"t check for spaek because I can"t turn it over. We pulled down the road for miles but won"t start. The hydrualics work while pulling it. I"m guessing the problem has to do with why I can"t hook a charger or jump it with another battery without arcing. Like a dead short somewhere. I"m looking for any advice as to where to start. Thank You
