Watch craigs list . We got one that was almost brand new that a guy bought just to build his pole barnand had no use for it when he was done . We gave 1200 for it and he had like 24 in it . Not only did he by the hyd auger he bought a new Deere skid steer dozer and back hoe for this one diy project and was selling it all for about half price . The dozer was a 550 H and he wanted 45000 grand for it with 120+ hours . I did not have the spare petty cash for that one.As we were also thinking along the same line as you . By the time you buy a mounting plate steel for brackets motor couplings hoses fittings then spend the time building it when you can spend rainy days surfen and a short dive . Or if you want you can get a new med duty one for around 2400 . then all ya got to do is plug and play.
