That is very true. Life should be about living for yourself AND each other. I live in a town home complex, pay association fees every month for various tasks (in this case I will use snow removal). I understand that sometimes the snowfall amounts are hard for the companies to keep up with, some of my neighbors don't own shovels. I take the liberty every winter to shovel my driveway and walkway, both my neighbors driveways and walkways, as well as start working on the large staircase in front of the complex. I live here, I may as well do something.... Plus it helps keep my muscles in shape.
I do the same thing with the '41 Case SC when neighbors get stuck in the road.. Pull 'em out, for me it is just for fun. They offer money, I always decline.
I just figure what goes around comes around, and even if it doesn't, at least I feel good knowing I helped out my neighbors.
