We were told in drivers trainging in 72 that 58,000 people died every years in America. Now I think that number is down around 35,000. Some claim it's seat belts, other better construction of vehicles, better roads ECT. ECT. ECT.
I think the biggest single thing has been EMT's. Back when I started driving only the largest cities had EMT's. Called em paramedics back then. Out here in rural MN we only had a volenteer ambulance crew who were allowed to "stop the bleeding and transport".
