Well, Sweetfeet, you really started something: I dialed up 'homeless" and discovered all these other great Bare songs I hadn't heard in ages, so I grabbed the old acoustic off the wall and for the past two hours I've enjoyed a "get re-acquainted" session. I'd forgotten just how great this guy is, and how much I miss those good old "story" songs, a la George Jones, Tom T. Hall, Claude King, Johnny Horton, et al.
One of the songs you referenced, "Elvis has left the building"---haven't listened to it yet but that statement originated here in my town, made by a local announcer. Elvis got his start here in the Louisiana Hayride. I was listening when he made his first broadcast.
