I used to have really bad reactions to different foods. My mom kept a log and really through the pediatrician for a loop. She started figuring out the common ingredients that some of the foods had. Hot dogs were one. Their preservative nitrate or nitrite would really mess me up. Some of the food colorings in other things would do the same thing. I remember Red #40, Yellow #5 being a couple I had to watch out for. But, the one thing I was really allergic to was milk. It didn't do anything to my stomach, but still to this day will clog up my sinuses and give me a sore throat. I have to watch how much I take in now. It sure is hard to resist chocolate milk and sometimes I'll drink it and regret it later.
