Taking care of these gardens requires less than an hr./day. Processing the vegies takes the time. Our garden feeds us year round, and along with wild game. Our grocery bills consist mainly of staples, (flour, butter cooking oil etc.), detergents, and paper products. The flower gardens are all perenials. They just do their thing, and in the fall when done blooming the wifey cuts all the stalks back, and throws them on the compost pile to make new soil. That takes her a day.
