Fixed my new frigidaire refrigerator by not connecting the water line. It was the fridge the wife wanted so we bought it and I got what I wanted by not connecting the water. Problem solved, she has ice trays that she fills with water from the tap.
The plastic hose on the fridge has those push together fittings that you are supposed to trust to hold water pressure while you are out on vacation or whatever.
Friend has a new home. Fridge sprung a slow leak and by the time they noticed it it was $7000 in damage to the floor and structure.
