OKAY What are feeling at the end of ten month. I shared with you how my entering a nurseing home was family decision Momhad been her for six years the first we had ever been apart it has been great to be together. We share th same room. She had two seizures that ended up in the hopital. I reconized both of them earlier and pulld th call light. We are sure this got fast help and I made the call as the Aides and nurses acted lost. CALL 911. I noticed several little thing in her day to day living that ended in changing in her medications. I brought music reording of her playing the church organ set to picture of our life. These have been wonderful therapy.
Now how about me. Let me say it is experience. Having personnel caring for you 24 hrs a day, is mind boogling. Not having to be concerned about your medicine. it is ther and is administered as needing. Your blood is monitered every day. Food is good an always ready. Ihave many things wrong with me. Both knees replaced and hae constant pain. Both shoulder rotor worn out not s candidate for surgery so I just hurt. Wear a pain patch 24-7. They caught I had a infecttion so it we surgery for that and that was heck or worst. Yuh I know it was the new Laparoscopic It is stll a line of BS Children argued with surgeon I was nt ready for realease as a out pationet. NO MEDICAL REASON WHY HE MUST STAY IN HOSPITAL. Got back to nursing home in time for ambulance ride back to the hospital. The big thing to remeber you are paying for care do not be bashful use it. Yuh I know I have never had to depend on someone. but you are not a youg buck ready to take on the world. It has been easier on the cildren. The know we are looked after 24-7. But you must make sure of one thing once you are in a nursing home You lose some of the control You must have a child or somone to back you up.

I have seen several older men ener the hom and be stubborn and indepndant and no I will not use the walker I will go myself and BANG They fall break a hip and then it is a fast downhill slide.

I KNOW THIS IS WHAT MANY OF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR. BUT I AM TRYING TO BE HONEST. THIS IS JUST AS IMPOTANT AS WHEN YOU ASKED THAT LITTLE GAL TO BE YOU WIFE MARG & I WILL BE 82 & 83 YEARS OLD ON JULY 3rd & 4th. During the time we have been apart Mar use to tell people "Graydon and I are not divorced we are not living together."
Please excuse the errors. Ince surgery my old brain and fingers do not work together all of the time.

Graydon (itib) and Margery
