My 640 will have a spell of flooding and then go for a long time with out doing it.I think it is caused by very fine particles that get thru the screens.I have found many leaking floats plus plastic floats that have absorbed gas.The plastic floats have to be weighed with a scale to check them.Bent float arms will let the float rub on the bowl and leave a bright spot on the brass.I have tried the Grose inlet valves and find they leak and stick shut. The viton tip will stick shut.A bit of trash will make it leak by just like a steel needle.
