How do you know if the float is sticking??? If you have not opened up the carb all you know is that the float or needle is not doing it job of shutting off the gas flow and it could be as simple as some dirt/rust in the needle seat and if that is the case you can some times take the drain plug out, catch the gas to look at it and reuse it and some times that is enough to get things working again. Now if the float is in fact sticking the only fix is to open up the carb and find out what is going on.
