Ahh yes, 3 months of fun. Camping out by the lake for a week at a time with my cousins from Portland OR and Kansas City MO - living on fish, frogs, crayfish and swimming. Only coming home for more lard for cooking and more Kool Aid. Like you, no shoes cept for church on Sundays. Spent so much time in the sun, swamps, slews and water the clothes litteraly rotted off of us. Biggest motivation was making enough $ to buy another box of .22 shorts for my single shot Stevens.
