Last Day of School

My Son has his final day for the 7th grade today. For him it came none to soon.He has had enough for at least a month. I remember my first years I would step off the bus on that dirt road and take off my shoes and except for Sunday I would not put them back on till school started back.

Ahh yes,
3 months of fun. Camping out by the lake for a week at a time with my cousins from Portland OR and Kansas City MO - living on fish, frogs, crayfish and swimming. Only coming home for more lard for cooking and more Kool Aid. Like you, no shoes cept for church on Sundays. Spent so much time in the sun, swamps, slews and water the clothes litteraly rotted off of us. Biggest motivation was making enough $ to buy another box of .22 shorts for my single shot Stevens.

Luke's last day of school (kindergarten) today, too. I think he'd had enough after the first week!

I"m a substitute teacher - some of my schools run into next week, others finish this week. I decided LAST Monday was the last day for me!

Not to bad. Really just sore all over. Worked all day, but it was really hot. Going to be on the job before day light in the morning and be finished by noon. Thanks for asking.
