About a week ago, I priced a set of rear tires. This was from an independent dealer that has about 8-10 different brands in the warehouse. Now maybe this guy has an ax to grind, but he told me over the phone that the new Firestones are nothing more than an inner tube with bars. He also said before this job, he had worked for Firestone for 15 years. Like I said, maybe he's just a disgruntled ex-employee.
