depends on the gst, but a lot of gsks. have the sealer built right into them. so dry is ok cause when the engine warms up the sealer does its job. i have done both ways. never have used nothing but pematex hi-tac spray on them and can say i have never had head gskt. leakage in over thirty five yrs. of using it. also go into any garage and i dont believe their choice is paint or copper coat.when things are in spec you dont need extra goop on the gskt. since your's are resurfaced i would not be afraid of dry install but dsepends on the gsk.
