Bingo to what JDSeller said below. The exMark is a good machine.
I researched this issue thoroughly for nearly two years before I bought. I had a Kubota TG1860G but the hydro was crapping and wasn't seviceable, so I knew the time was coming.
I bought a SCAG from a reputable dealer who sells both SCAGs and eXMarks. The eXMark was my second choice. I've been extremely happy with the SCAG but I'm sure the eXMark would have been just as good.
The commercial guys in my area use mostly SCAGS and exMarks. And if you ever watch these guys, they don't exactly baby their machines.
Not meaning to step on anyone's bunions here but nothing in the Cub Cadet line, no matter style or model, can be compared to the SCAGs, eXMarks, Dixie Choppers, etc. Cubs just aren't in the same league.
If you've got a good eXMark dealer, I'd go for it. Why is he pushing the Cub Cadet over the eXMark? Price maybe?
But--it all depends on two things: How much lawn do you have to mow? What kinds of reputable dealers are in your area and what do they sell?
