I started one from hitting a rock about 20 years ago. The bad thing was I was back swathing at the time and went a long winding way amongst some trees and so on before I got turned and headed back. By the time I saw it flames were four feet in the air and smoke was 200 feet. Fortunately I had my Fire Dept. radio with me so I was able to call dispatch and get it toned out, and took the nozzle when the truck got there. I would have needed a 250 GPM pump and 1000 gal. water to put that one out.
