I don't get that liability thing either. Acreage had tenant on it running cattle. Called tenant to find out about owner's contact info because he had some old forgotten piece of equipment on it I wanted to restore, for parts. Tenant ran interference but got the same answer: Too risky, too much liability for me to be on the land and to load that equipment and remove it! Told him I sign a waiver first, nope...
