Bless her heart! That is an accomplishment to live alone at 88! My Mom's parents did too, Opa died in 2000 at 89, Oma in 2001 at 89 as well, were married for 63.5 yrs!! My late Dad's father, was a priest/minister. Started out Roman Catholic, then Alt Catholic (they can marry), then German Lutheran pastor, all back in Germany, though. He passed away at 84 in the 1990's...
