I,m pretty sure the dad also raced ISDE events but I only got to know him in the early to mid 90's racing moto-cross. It's highly possible you raced with him. I know he organized a fund raiser to help send the Canadian ISDE team to Europe. He could go through the bush like a scared jack rabbit on a bike and he's rescued a lot of guys on sleds that didn't know how to get out after going into a deep bowl in the mountains. I remember him talking about some guy that figured he'd need a helicopter to get his sled out. He asked the guy if he could try and rode it out no problem. He just zig-zagged across the hill instead of trying to go straight up.
