Spell check would help in a lot of cases when a word isn't misspelled into a legitimate word. But in some cases a word can be misspelled into a real word, but with a different meaning.
One such word I see a lot is "quiet" misspelled into "quite". Spell-check wouldn't catch that one. Nor would it catch "yore" used instead of "your".
Sometimes words are misused in which spell-check wouldn't catch those either. A very common example of this would be the misuse of "they're", "their", & "there". Or "your" & "you're".
