I got into a pi$$ing match with Dave2 awhile back over spelling corrections. Actually, I "got my panties in a wad", according to him.
I never correct spelling unless it would be important to make Google work- I think the specific instance was some guy wanting info on his Kabota. Guess I needn't have bothered- I googled "Kabota" and it came back, "Do you mean Kubota" and gave about a zillion hits.
I'm a good speller, but I'd better be, because I write for a living. Mis-spellings in postings don't bother me. Its the ones that are indecipherable that are a little irritating, and I don't think spell check would help them- you have to be kind of close for it to work.
I'd say don't waste your time with it, unless its important to you to have it right.
