I don't even go so far as Quickbooks. I don't run accounts payable or accounts receivable,so I just use Quicken.
First computer I had,back in the early 90s,I bought a Doanes program (later Redwing) called AgChek. That thing cost me over $600 back then and was a miserable program to use and print reports from. I upgraded it in 2000 because the dates all started with 19 in it,but the upgrade made it impossible to run.
If you're just running income/expense and want to print out reports for those catagories,you'd be amazed the detailed reports you can get from Quicken once you learn to use it.
