An overrun clutch will not protect against an overload and that is what twisting is, for that you have to have a slip clutch or shear pin to take the load off the shaft. The overrun clutch will just keep you after the unit is up to speed from driving into your car or house or up the tree because the brakes on tractor cannot stop the spinning of the load.
