As far as the ears and tail, not allowed to do that here so any dog (dobie, rotty, etc) you see with cropped ears and a docked tail is either 15+ years old or from a former east country. Our Doberman had ears but a docked tail, first Rotty had a docked tail.... Dobies with ears and a tail look funny, but prolly the prettiest dog I ever saw was a black & tan coon hound and a rottweiller with a tail loomks just like a hefty version of one......
