From the serial number it is a 48. Probably a kerosene burner but will run fine on gas. Used one for years on my sawmill. Good torque at it's rated speed of 1100 RPM. About 45 to 48 HP if it was a kero burner. Some things to check for, fill radiator with water and take off a inspection plate on each side and look for leaks. Might need to replace sleeve seals. Water pump leaks can usually be stopped by greasing the pump. How good is the manifold? If it has been sitting a while, pull the valve cover and tap the rocker arms to free up valves. Richard
