CASE LAE Power Unit

Boys, I need some info on this power unit. I dont know much about them or where to find out. Im looking to know year model, weather or not they came with wheels under them, a value in running condition, and anything else you see as relevant. This unit is for sale and located in Crouse North Carolina. Thanks alot. See pictures http://s1161.photobucket.com/albums/q506/clayheafner/

Serial number is: 5201839 LAE

From the serial number it is a 48. Probably a kerosene burner but will run fine on gas. Used one for years on my sawmill. Good torque at it's rated speed of 1100 RPM. About 45 to 48 HP if it was a kero burner. Some things to check for, fill radiator with water and take off a inspection plate on each side and look for leaks. Might need to replace sleeve seals. Water pump leaks can usually be stopped by greasing the pump.
How good is the manifold?
If it has been sitting a while, pull the valve cover and tap the rocker arms to free up valves.

After looking at the pics, It does have the kero manifold but will run fine on gas.
Remember, it will love gas on an irrigation pump.

Boys, i appreicate it. My cousins and i picked this thing up when i was younger to use on the circle mill we had set up at the time. I had no idea they would run on kerosene, as far as condition i beleve its pretty sound but when i return home i will check it out. If i recall we got the thing rinning with just a little work and it had been shed kept for a good while. Thanks for the info, More pics and id help needed on other equiptment as i clean up around my fathers farm. Any ideas on the best way to sell one of these, or what market would be the best to try in sawmill, irrigation, etc.?
